  1. Never ever thought I would want a Bassett until I got one for my
wife. This little guy gave us 16 years of pure love and affection that I have NEVER had with any other breed. I can’t wait to get another one.

  2. Very difficult site to follow ! As an owner/ breeder of 6 bassets , I must disagree ! Totally easy dogs to house train and anything else you choose to do! Love cuddling, horses, cats and especially people! If you have problems look deeper. You are the issue!

  3. ALL dogs are wonderful but maybe the Bassets are particularly stubborn…or mine just does what he wants! And now that he’s an old fella he gets to be grumpy too! But we still love him…! He’s Mylene’s truest devotion (been diabetic for almost 2 years and his glucose tests better than hers!)

Our 17 yr old Sophia passed in Jan of this year. They are the most loving, funny happy little dogs ever. They are there when you need someone to cry to. My Sophia was there when I was taking care of my mother with cancer. I come home to her she would meet me barking and wagging her tail and just love me and take the pain away. We no longer have any. We have a farm dog Jake he is about 11 . No replacement we live with the memories of our children (dogs) and are happy. They are the best dogs every
