Rottweilers are one of those breeds that have a ‘reputation', and the perception many people have of them isn't even close to the reality.

The Rottweiler is a robust, powerful, and loyal dog with strong protective instincts. They are outstanding companions and protectors.

Because of the Rottweiler’s size, strength, and protectiveness, owning a Rottweiler carries a great deal of responsibility and commitment.

Rottweiler's temperament vary from natural clowns, affectionate to almost everyone, to the very reserved one-man dog. Rottweilers are calm and alert companions.

Rottweilers often follow their masters around the house keeping a constant and sometimes obtrusive watch over their loved ones.

If you are considering to own a rottweiler, or you’ve just become a new rottie owner, there are some realities you do need to fully accept.

  1. This is my four month old, Layla. She is a love but chewing everything in sight because she is teething. I keep buying her teething toys but she is still chewing everything. How’s Ricky doing with his teething?

  2. Oh I enjoyed the pictures so much and every bit of this is true. I love my rotty more than life. A dog recently got loose and ran up to her on the street.. I was more concerned with protecting her than myself, put her behind me. Crazy isn’t it when you have a dog that can do serious damage and yet you are protecting them. She is my heart and my soul, best dog ever!! I have 4 but only one is a rott.. she has 3 adopted sisters a Jack Russell Terrier, A Cheweenie, and a Dachshund. I would love to have another Rotty some day. I am so thankful we found her as a pup at a shelter, she was a reject.. cut her tail wrong and her legs don’t go just right but we love her more than anything. The rott watching the TV she sits just like that too.

  3. I was raised around a pure bred German rottweiler as a kid. Best friend I’ve ever had. Best memories of my life. She was my buddy. When I got in trouble and my parents would yell at me she’d drag me away by my diaper. We played rough doing dumb$#%&!@*kids do I’d run up and tackle her and she’d knock me on my$#%&!@* Never got mean with me. Can’t wait to own one again.
