Given the breed’s good looks, trainability, loyalty, intelligence, etc., why isn’t this the dog for everyone on the planet who loves dogs?!

    All of them except the bed. When I first got my lab he was 10 months old and weighed about 80 pounds, and he was never overweight. Full grown he was 110 pounds and my vet said he could get up to 115 without being heavy. There was no way I would let him in our bed. But I did let him “sneak” into my lap when I was on the couch, and he was so very proud that he pulled one over on me. 😉

    As for as I am concerned, there is no better breed of dog in the world! I have had 4 Labs now and each one has brought me so much love and loyalty and just plain good old fun! Will never have another breed of dog! I have a 12 year old black Lab now and I love her more every day!
