12 Realities New German Shepherd Owners Must Learn To Accept

German Shepherd Dogs are wonderful animals and can make wonderful pets for the right owner. They also have some characteristics that make them unsuitable for some potential dog owners.

While GSDs do make excellent watchdogs this is the WRONG reason to own a dog! If you intend to keep your GSD chained in the yard with little human interaction, please do not own one.

Dogs are social animals and require love and attention just as humans do. Otherwise you will end up with a broken, miserable animal. All dogs deserve a better fate.

If you are considering to own a german shepherd, or you’ve just become a new german shepherd owner, there are some realities you do need to fully accept.

Check out the twelve realities new german shepherd owners must accept on the next page! …and if you already are a german shepherd owner, see if you can relate!

  1. I say your right to all of the above , but you missed a few out 1 they think they are lap dogs. 2 you will never have a clean window in the house or car , 3 they have to have the last word 4 you take dog hair everywhere you go ,the list can go on and on , but I still love them

  2. Sharon beautiful my shepherd that I had in the 70s brought up in my husbands car so one car ride was it. Are used to have to clean ears with Q-tips and if I get a hint get infection. Animals are smarter than humans my son was secured old and he took him for a walk on the leash a few blocks I guess from our house maybe he was seven and I’m not sure but in those days it was safe. And here he came home alone without the dog and the dog we only had him for a weekabout and Here came back by himself he was just a puppy. And once got stuck behind the sofa because he didn’t realize he was getting bigger.
