As a responsible dog owner, it's critical to know what you can and can't feed your dog. Is it enough to just stick with a decent doggy diet?
Nope. There's a ton of foods you probably didn't know about that can actually be really bad for your dog, including some that are perfectly healthy for humans.
There's nothing worse than having your dog suffer over a simple mistake in diet. While they're still man's best friend, they probably shouldn't eat like your best friend.

Cheese is listed on both lists (healthy human foods for your dog and 12 human foods that can kill your dog). That seems to be contradictory. Also the healthy list has very few foods that are actually good for your dog, most say that they are good but also there’s evidence that they aren’t. I don’t find either of these lists helpful at all.

My dog loves a bit if cheese. He also has avocado. I believe it is the stone which is the problem.. not the fruit itself?

True, dog food should be enough, but Gigi deserves better ……. every once in awhile. If we don’t give it to her, she will wait for us to blink, then help herself 😉

Theobromine is the toxic component of chocolate. Dogs are not able to digest it as well as humans, their metabolism is much slower. So the chocolate is digested slowly and the theobromine toxicity just builds and builds until it’s at a fatal level. What people think is old age could be symptoms of built up the theobromine toxicity. Plus, the darker the chocolate, the more toxic.
I had a boxer that I swore had an iron stomach! We were late getting home once because we stopped at the pet store, to get him a birthday present. He ate a dozen houseplants, some toxic, and their dirt. Then he left 9 throw-ups around the house! We were 1 hour late, 1 hour! Dante didn’t get his Mr. Bill doll or his birthday cookie till the next day 🙁 He lived another 2 years and we lost him to a seizure disorder.
Still though, I would never intentionally give my dogs anything I know to be bad for them.

That’s such bull. So only feed high processed dried up kibble?? When vets say don’t feed “human” food its the junk food only.
