There's nothing worse than having your dog suffer over a simple mistake in diet. While they're still man's best friend, they probably shouldn't eat like your best friend.

  1. I agree all dogs are different and can handle different things. My sister made chocolate cookies once, each had a cherry on top and was covered in more chocolate. Our miniature schnauzer ate about a dozen and a half and never even threw up. He spit the cherries out which would have been the only nutritious part. Although I would never intentionally feed a dog chocolate. I had also heard chewing gum is dangerous and I had a dog that ate a whole pack and never got sick (again I would never intentionally feed them this)

  2. My one year old boxer is a fussy little so and so! Tried everything to get some weight on her but turns her nose up at something she loved just yesterday!! Worse than my kids but luv her to bits!!

  3. My sisters girl is exactly the same, she looked like she was anorexic for so long! The only way we can get her to eat is if she comes and stays with me and my boy cause then she steals all of his food so he can’t have any, now she’s a little porker lol. So the solution is get another boxer haha

  4. What a load of crap!!! No facts. Might cause this, could lead to that. Cheese, really? The single most popular method to give pills recommended by vets! Stop sharing this nonsense!

  5. We found out our dog is allergic to peanut butter. I used to give her medicine in peanut butter, and I couldn’t understand why she scratched nonstop. We stopped giving her peanut butter and she’s fine now.

  6. I. Personally had just 1 diet raw fresh pork. Chops 1 pound a day. It costed me. A month more than how much me and my girl ate. But I dont regret not 1 penny spent on him 😉

  7. crap I believe in large amounts maybe but my babies get ice cream, peanut butter apples, pears, berries , celery carrots etc etc oat meal and almond milk they get some sort of a treat before bed and I love them to death

  8. Some dogs like people have allergies. Severe scratching and erratic behavior can tell you somethings wrong. Some are allergic to cornmeal, wheat and the other fillers company’s put in dog food.

  9. We had Scottish Terriers and Dalmatians, and fed them table food, milk and oreos, and ice cream. They all lived for 10 yrs or more..I don’t believe this stuff. However I don’t give them pig ears and some rawhide. To hard for them to digest

  10. Don’t forget about Xylitol. It’s a sugar alcohol used as a calorie-free sweetener to sweeten gum, mints and other things. It is highly toxic to dogs (probably way more so than the things on this list). Our pug puppy got into a container of Ice Breakers gum sweetened with Xylitol and nearly died. Thank goodness we have an excellent emergency vet that nursed him back to health ($3000 later :/). We were one of the lucky ones. Spread the word.
