  1. A reasonable article, but like so many click-bait articles, the accompanying photograph is very misleading. Watermelon is fine for dogs, as long as seeds are avoided generally, and the dog doesn’t eat the rind. It’s funny, though, our two beagles love to eat watermelon, and eat down to the rind before walking away, avoiding it on their own. They just seem to know.

  2. All chocolate contains theobromine, which is very poisonous to dogs. Dark chocolate probably has higher concentrations, but all of it is toxic. A small amount of chocolate will likely give a dog stomach upset, vomiting or diarrhea. It takes about 1 ounce of milk chocolate per pound of body weight to be truly toxic to a dog. A few candy bars can kill a dog. Really best to avoid any chocolate for a dog. I can’t see the secondary gain here.

  3. Another issue has to do not only with lactose intolerance, but the fact that dog’s cholesterol levels care much more sensitive to diet than a human’s. Excessive fat in any form is bad for dogs. A gallon of ice cream can bring about a heart attack.

  4. The irony of that comment is that so many dog foods have nasty stuff in them. And by that I mean stuff that, as a result of animal testing (another irony) can cause illness including cancers!! Interesting how that results in banning ingredients from human consumption for those reasons, yet the FDA and other agencies still allow those poisons in animal food.

  5. Yup, that’s my dog! Second time Corgi Lovers used this pic. I messaged them and asked where they got permission for it. I always get, “I’ll get back to you.” and never hear from them again.
