This one is so important. An unspeakable amount of dogs get euthanized in shelters every day as a result of unexpected pregnancies. Don’t let your dog contribute to this sad trend.
Commenting on #10. My pugs loved their crates, in part because it was never a place of punishment. I literally would say “OK, boys, go to your rooms” and they’d go in and get a cookie. I’d have to latch the door and I was able to run errands. Many people don’t see the crate the same way dogs too. The rest of the information I also completely agree with as well.
I would like to add one that we have used with out pets for years. When we go for a ride – whether it’s just to go to the park, the vet, the PetsMart, or wherever, they are put into the PROPER BODY HARNESS and are placed in the back of our SUV where they are restrained by a special restrainer that attached to their body harnesses OR can be used to click into the seatbelt if the pup is riding solo. Our pups loved the go for rides and these restrainers worked perfectly. They had room to stand or lie down and were highly recommended. I will NOT allow any dog to just jump in the suv and “wander” through the entire vehicle – very dangerous. The restrainers keep them safe in case of an accident. We love our furbabies and do everything possible to insure their safety when we go for rides. Just sayin’.
Number one does not fit all conditions if your dog is protected from the heat or cold and they know their job is to protect the car in your absence this is good for their self-esteem.
Two don’t think this is correct my dogs have never had a problem with learning what not to do and when they have done things they weren’t supposed to do I let them know and they understood and I also let them know I still love them.
Three I’ve never used treats to get dogs to do anything they’ve always wanted to do things for me.
But it is correct not to overfeed dogs they don’t need your help to do that.
Number four very important thing to remember.
Five I have a beagle I find harness far superior.
Six This does not fit all conditions one must be mindful of traffic the vehicles are someone walking.
Suggestion get a zap cane it’s like a stun gun for the protection of your dog from being attacked if you watch a dog coming at your dog and you fire it stops them in their tracks and they go away.
Seven this is a good idea.
Eight it should include never give your dogs bird bones they splinter get caught in her throat.
Nine Extremely important number at your dog or any other living creature.

Not guilty on any, except the dog leading on walks. There’s nothing to lead, my beagle goes 8 different directions at once while walking.
