A couple of Georgia Power linemen were out doing their job on a rainy day, when they heard the distressed shrieks of puppies coming from a nearby alley.
Upon investigation, the utility workers were horrified to discover 3 skeletal puppies “discarded like trash” in the filthy depths of a nearby dumpster.

All the 3 puppies had bloated bellies due to malnutrition and their rib cages were also clearly visible. The poor babies were shivering in fear as the kind workers scooped them up to save their lives.
The workers took the drenched puppies (one boy and two girls) to Humane Society of Northeast Georgia, where they received emergency medical aid for their depleted health.
The puppies are currently undergoing treatment for intestinal worms and parasites. As of now, the puppies are mentally terrorized due to being separated from their mama.

Julie Edwards, the shelter’s executive director, has expressed her gratefulness toward the workers who saved the lives of the puppies.
The male puppy will be named David to honor the original worker who found the puppies. The other two puppies will be named Jennifer and Georgia.

It is evident that the puppies’ original owner tried to get rid of the unwanted puppies in a discreet manner. But thanks to the alert workers, the puppies have another shot at life.
The puppies will be up for adoption when they are ready. We hope these sweet angels find amazing forever homes soon!
