Three Sick Dogs Found Locked In Separate Rooms On Ice Cold Floors

When neighbors in Asbury Park, New Jersey heard dogs barking excessively and whining repeatedly, they contacted police. When authorities arrived at the property, eight Pit Bull dogs and puppies were found in tiny crates covered with urine and feces.

In response to the deplorable conditions, police charged 30-year-old Kaniesha Bacon, 30 and 29-year-old Xavier Reed with animal cruelty.

On top of those charges, the Monmouth County SPCA shared an update to their Facebook page recently. An anonymous tip came in about an abandoned home in the same area. Three Pit Bull mixed breed dogs were found and removed from the property.

Sadly, the animals had no food, no water, and were locked in separate rooms on cold bare floors. Each of the dogs required care, as they were covered in feces, had overgrown nails, and intestinal parasites.

MCSPCA executive director Ross Licitra says the dogs were likely used for breeding purposes. Bacon and Reed had additional charges filed against them since they own these three dogs as well.

Sadly, they will not relinquish ownership of the animals, so the dogs can only be fostered. Both Bacon and Reed are being billed $1,000 a week for the dogs’ care.
