Ask any dachshund owner and they'll all tell you, without exception, that there’s no other dog worth owning. Dachshunds are not only one of the most popular breeds in America, but also one of the most loved today.

But why are these Sausage dogs (a.k.a. Weiner dogs, Doxies, Dashies, etc.) so popular today? Is it their irresistible sausage body, stubby legs and waving tails? or their bravery and loyalty to their humans?

The stubborn characteristics of dachshunds (making them a little difficult to train) can be traced back to those days spent learning and evolving into being great underground hunters. If they were easily swayed, they couldn’t have survived.

    AND THEY CRUSH BONES TO DUST… my dachshund is the only dog I have ever had that refuses to leave BONES alone, chicken, steak, pork, etc, he doesn’t care, he crushes them to nothing… buffalo wings don’t stand a chance around him… HELL, HE CHEWS GOLD, SILVER, STAINLESS STEEL, ETC, MY WIFE HAS NO JEWELRY LEFT CAUSE HE CHEWED IT ALL

    My little adorable hellion! She’s a whirlwind of mischief! I like to tease her and sing “Are you finding trouble?! COMICAL ..LOVING ..PLAYFUL IMPS… ..JUST DO NOT LEAVE THEM ALONE…THEY WILL GET EVEN LOL..BUT HELPFUL…THEY WILL EMPTY THE TRASH BASKETS ….ALL OF THEM…THEY WILL DECORATE FOR YOU AS WITH TOILET PAPER WRAPPED AROUND EVERY LAMP…CHAIR TABLES AND MORE…TAKE IT FROM ONE WHO STILL LOVES A SWEET WEE HOTDOG LOL
