Shelter Dog Is Sad When She Sees Her Old Family Picking Out A New Dog, But Now Our Hearts Are Melting!

Zuzu, a two-year-old German Shepherd mix, went viral in November 2016 for her sad story that broke hearts across the country.

After her dad died, she became extremely depressed, moping around and crying all the time. Her owners didn’t like the way she had been acting, so she wound up at a shelter.

One day, Zuzu began jumping around in excitement when she noticed her previous owner there. Shelter staff assumed they were there to take Zuzu back home, but much to their surprise, they were actually there to adopt a different dog.

When the story went viral, the shelter was flooded with inquiries about her. That’s when Russ and Judith Gallo saw a video of Zuzu and fell in love. Their dog had recently passed away, leaving their other pup, Dodger, very lonely and heartbroken. They wanted to adopt another dog to cheer Dodger up, and they knew Zuzu was just the one!

Zuzu is doing great in her new home and has become the best of friends with Dodger. Watch her in her new life in the video below:

    I can’t believe how heartless humans can be to first give up their dog and then to go back and adopt a different dog like changing their socks with no emotions for their original baby.

    How can shelters allow such animals to adopt again?

    This is not a good owner family!

    Beautiful dog, his previous owners should not be able to get another dog. To me that is so cruel. Just because he was depressed they get rid of him. Geez I hope one of their kids don’t get depressed!!!

    Wonder how long it will take for them to get tired of the new dog. Feel sorry for that new pet. They should not give them a different dog. Send them somewhere else. Then send a text to all shelters that don’t let these people adopt. That would fix them.

    Dogs are not like cars, you just don’t trade them in on a new dog. So what happens to the new dog when the family get tried of that dog. People that don’t know how to treat a dog should never own one. Do us all a favor don’t get a dog if you do not want him of the rest of his life or your life.

    Oh my how heart broken it must have been to have his family dump him off and then pick out a new dog. Grrrr. Sooo sorry baby..some humans are thoughtless, heartless jerks, That don’t deserve the love of any pet.
