Woman Tells Shelter To Kill Her Dog Because She Was ‘Sick’ Of Her

Mitsie the beagle has had a rough go of things throughout the course of her life and while this dog has certainly struggled to find her place in this world, many of these problems can be attributed to the terrible upbringing that she was saddled with. Pets are no different from people, in the sense that their parents can make or break their ability to live a happy and healthy life.

After spending 11 years with her owners, Mitsie was unceremoniously abandoned and we cannot believe that they would treat her in such a harsh and unforgiving manner. Once her owners had abandoned her, it did not take long before she ended up living in an Atlanta shelter. The request that Mitsie’s mother made before giving the dog up will leave you shocked and dismayed. It may even make your blood run cold.

The shelter staff was asked to put Mitsie to sleep by her former owner. This request was not made because the dog was sick and needed to be put out of her misery, it was made because this mother was tired of the dog. Of course, this sweet and lovable dog was not put to sleep by the kind shelter staff. Instead, they told the story of this awful mother on their Facebook page, altering the world and letting them know what Mitsie had endured.

The story touched hearts everywhere and Mitsie had no shortage of offers when it came time to find a new forever home. Even though this beagle is a senior dog, she still has many suitors and it is great to see that no one else shares her mother’s point of view when it comes to her level of usefulness.

    We lost our Beagle to cancer after 10yrs of longer. We have 2 Chihuahuas that are 13yrs old. The little man has bum knee. Would not trade them for another dog. They are our babies.

    My furball is 11 years young and I still have her. I would kill anyone if they would taker her away from me. But to say sick of her, we sick you, lazy owner. Sorry, could not help it.

    This makes me mad my dogs are both 10 now and much loved. I know that the future will be a challenge as they both get older and the insurance just gets more expensive. But I would never let them down. They have given me so much love and loyalty. To think of them alone and scared wonderering where I am just makes me panic. God live this pet it deserved so much more.

    So blinking cruel after 11yrs of having this lovely dog u could actually leave it at a kill shelter i carnt comprehend this my eldest lab is 10yrs old and my younger lab is nearly 9yrs and just as precious if not more precious each day

    When giving up a dog, most people have a dead end situation maybe unable to afford after losing job or owner became ill or family situation becoming unconducive (divorce etc etc).
    Some times we see young dogs (usually 1 year olds) given up because owners did not know the hardship of actually looking after a dog and decided they cannot take it and the dog lose it’s cute puppy looks.
    I have never seen any One after keeping a dog for so long just decided to go it up due to “sick of it” but hey strange world we live in.
