Most people hate to see an animal in distress, but how many would have the courage to cross a busy highway to help?
A Mexican woman did exactly this when she saw a dog trapped in the middle of the road.
A recent YouTube video shows the woman crossing the road as the dog waits near a median barrier as cars whiz by.
Once she gets to the median, she works to calm the animal and gain its trust. The dog had apparently been injured already and was not strong enough to cross the road.
The woman finally carries the dog to safety.
The dog is recovering at an animal shelter.
