According to Dr. Kathryn Primm, a practicing small animal veterinarian and practice owner at Applebrook Animal Hospital in Ooltewah, Tennessee, it's not because the dog's embarrassed.

    I have wondered this. I had no idea. I always praise her with, “good girl ” when she’s in the position. And she knows I’m right beside her to clean it up too, with bag in hand.

    É uma maneira de se proteger enquanto faz suas necessidades. Ele olha p/ver se vc apresenta alguma reação de perigo, se está tudo tranquilo. Se vc se assustar, ele para e sai correndo tb.
