Watching This Pug Act Territorial Over HER Pizza Is About To Make Your Day

Pugs love food, and begging can easily get out of hand if family members are in the habit of feeding their dog from the table or offering scraps from plates.

It is important that owners only offer treats (especially “people” food) after the dog performs a specified action, like sitting.

They can also feed the Pug before the rest of the family eats, which makes the dog less likely to beg.

Given Pugs’ short statures and tendency to do cute things, it is important that their owners do not inadvertently encourage undesirable behaviors by laughing or giving in to their Pugs’ demands.

Well, having said that, there are rare instances where the pug becomes overprotective and even becomes territorial over his food.

That's what seems to be happening with Sadie. She's turned into an overprotective pug, who doesn't want anyone to touch HER pizza boxes!!

    It’s kind of cute because pugs do look funny when they try to be vicious because they are generally not, but I’m sorry, she was snapping after your hand. Some discipline is in order or she will end up biting someone for real one day.

    as an owner of 2 pugs, they do not act like this, very poor owners, this video is not funny…if your pug has something in his/her mouth you should be able to just reach in and take it, or in the case of the video, the owner should be able to just reach down and take the pizza boxes away without any behavioral problems coming from the pug….

    That’s not cute. That’s improper behavior. She’s being aggressive/dominate over the pizza and claiming it. I know, I know, lighten up – but that’s incorrect training, and all these people did was reinforce that behavior by laughing and cuddling her. Next time she bites a child’s hand that comes near her food you can thank yourselves. 🙁
