  1. The two boxers I paid for were $800 a piece, so I’m not seeing much difference here, as far as paying for a dog.

My Boxador was a shelter dog, and we still paid $300 dollars.

As for breeding for a purpose, Boxadors are bed to combine the temperament qualities of Boxers and Labs.

It takes, roughly, six generations to consistently breed desirable qualities into a canine and I can say with Cooper they’ve done just that.

Also, I don’t know many people who use their Boxers for taking down large game, pulling carts, or as messenger dogs like they’ve been used for in the past.

So I’m not seeing the validity of the “bred for a purpose…” argument.

In the end love and enjoy the dog you have. “Purebred” or not.

  2. I got two others besides these two (husky and a malamute) and these are by far more of a handful :’) I keep telling them I’m gonna sell them to the Chinese to make chow mein with :’)

  3. With respect. And before I say this. I am very much for Boxer dog. But how can you say what you just said but butcher your boxers beautiful ears and u suspect tail? When they are born with them? Their beautiful perfect bodies Mutilated? I would rather an untouched mixed boxer any day than have a beautiful boxer mutilated for someone’s personal taste in the pure bred.

  4. I’m not saying they are not cute but we should stop the cross breading though. Making”new” breeds is dangerous and bad for the dog. Lots of health issues and problems

  5. i never said they were ugly mutts let’s get that out there! quite a few were very cute. what i am saying fi you are going to do it to make money or to see what they are going to look like, that is wrong. if it happens by accident well that is different.. just saying you will ruin the blood line for a purebred . i had to sign papers from the akc that i would not mate her with any other breed

  6. Actually there is no such thing as a pure breed Dog, They are all cross bred from another type of Dog down the Line, They all came from a Wolf, so a Wolf would be the only pure bred Dog .

  7. Because he is a show dog and for someone to comment and blatantly take a jab at someone else’s dog is so incredibly disrespectful. I’m assuming you’ve never shown a dog or done ANYTHING that is for the betterment of any breed of dog. This dog is not only a show dog, but a service dog for cardiac disabilities. Not one hair in his head has ever been hurt. His surgery was performed by a veterinarian after complete bloodwork. It was watched by his breeder. He was sent home with pain medication, which he didn’t need! I’m guessing you’ve had a dog spayed or neutered…and that surgery is MUCH worse than an ear cropping. If you have male children, I’m assuming they are circumcised…and I can tell you as a nurse practitioner, there is no pain medication given for that! My dog is loved more than life itself. Before you make your high and mighty comments in attempt to offend me for the choices I’ve made for my dog…for my breed…I suggest you take a long, hard look at yourself. What do you feed your dog? How much training have they had? How much time per day do you spend with them? What have you done to help ANY breed?? People who cast stones should look back at their own glass houses. You are out of line and this is not the place for this type of discussion. Your best option was to move past without commenting if you don’t like the way my dog looks.

  8. Some of you guys refering to mixed breeds as mongrels and a desicration to the boxer breed, lighten up. Our dogs are just as good and healthy as your pure breed. Alt of times mixed breedes do not have the health issues due to the years, no decades of inbreeding that took plae to create your pure breed. I have a Great dane I rescued from a horrible breeder (AKC licensed mid you) they were going to put her to sleep becasue she suffers from Ectodactlily (it is lobster claaw syndrome). So one of her paws looks like 2 long fingers. I also have a boxer/dane mix I rescued from the shelter s healthy as a horse, and the size of one! We didn’t knw what he was so got him DNA tested, he is 50/50. So my point being, all dogs are wonderful, wether it be a pure breed or a mixed. We all love dogs (and i am guessing boxers since we are on this sight) why can’t people just get along over that reason and that alone. Nobodys dog is better or worse, and hopefully they are all loved just as much!!

  9. Julie Turner-Crawford I never said they were ugly. My point is you don’t create a new breed and try to call it exotic or rare to make a buck. If you got a puppy from a shelter for a small fee or any where else for free good on you. It seemed to me that they are glorifying it as if it was done intentionally. When it’s done intentionally it’s so someone can make money off a “cross breed” when in fact it’s a mutt. Accidents happen when people don’t care for their dogs properly. Like for example if you know your dog’s in heat, don’t leave it outside for extended amounts of time unsupervised cause no duh any male dog a mile away is going to pick up on that and do everything possible to mate. Don’t put words into people’s mouths. All I know is if I’m gonna pay money for a dog, it’s because they are full breed and not just cause someone says they are. That’s why pure breeds are registered and yes I will pay more to have registered full breed boxers.
