Two Boxers, “just sittin’ on the dock of the bay, wasting time.” Will Warm Your Heart!

Do you remember Otis Ray Redding, Jr., the one and only American soul singer who was often called the “King of Soul”?

He is renowned for an ability to convey strong emotion through his voice. According to the website of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (where he was inducted in 1989), Redding's name is “synonymous with the term soul, music that arose out of the black experience in America through the transmutation of gospel and rhythm and blues into a form of funky, secular testifying.”

In addition, rock critic Jon Landau said in 1967, “Otis Redding is rock & roll”. Redding died in a plane crash at the age of 26, one month before his biggest hit, “(Sittin' On) The Dock of the Bay”, was released.

What's he got to do with Boxers?!

Meet Luke the boxer, and sister Leia, just sittin' on the dock of the bay, wasting time 🙂 Just watching them with Otis Redding's song rolling in the background is enough to make you feel relaxed and happy!

  1. I’m a Boxer nut, my current beautiful girl is Laila. She is a five year old neutered female – colour brindle stripes over tan ( much like a Phylocene ) white paws, white stripe between eyes & over nose & tip of tail. She’s my big baby, my constant companion, indoor dog with her bed next to mine.
