Broken Hearted Dog Was Brought to a Shelter and Finds Out He’s Being Given Up

Animals do have a unique perception. They are fully aware whenever things aren’t okay. This dog, named “Toto,” found out that he was being given up when he stepped inside the busy Carson Animal Control office, in California, one Friday. In the video, you’ll see the instant Toto, a three-year-old Chihuahua, was given up along with a bit of his food.

Toto can be seen leaping up on his owner’s leg and trying to break free. The look on Toto’s face reveals it all. The main reason Toto was surrendered was because he was being too noisy. Which is, basically, a cheap excuse. There are many ways to handle this situation. You could always train your dog and training is available everywhere…

The Carson Animal Control office was frantic. They were almost full, and Toto had to find a foster home as soon as possible because a dog that is given up by their owner may be put down for any excuse.

Have a look at this video

Toto didn’t find a foster home. Thankfully, however, he got adopted instead! This adorable dog won’t have to worry about being given up again.

Don’t forget to share Toto’s story to all of your friends and family!

  1. Jerk. I hope your companion does this to you. I’m sure you’re not perfect. Cruel. Don’t ever get another pet. There’s no guarantees when taken to a shelter. I’m glad he has a proud owner now.

  2. Omg Dan Wilson.. your boy has me in tears missing my girl. Just move to the UK and had to leave my girl in the Philippines. I’ve been trying to find a way to bring her over with me but it’s looking like the only way would be to fly her over in cargo and i don’t think i could risk her life but sometimes I feel like i wanna take the chance just to have her with me. I’ve been utterly heartbroken since i left.

  3. People need to take having a pet more seriously, this is a lifetime commitment when you bring that cute little puppy or kitten home. They become a family member that is indispensable, would you leave your child somewhere just because you couldn’t deal with them anymore ?

  4. Why makes this worse is that Carson is known to be a high kill shelter because of overcrowding. You don’t want your dog? Go find a rescue and in SoCal, there are TONS of Chihuahua rescues.

  5. To these MONSTERS who did this to Toto why in Hell did you even get a animal you make me sick
Dogs have a heart and feelings you sick SON OF A$#%&!@*
Thank god he got adopted to reliable people.
Get a life and grow the HELL UP.
    Big hugs Toto XOXOX

  6. I’m sorry I couldn’t watch or read this entire post…I get too emotional..but I feel if someone willingly gives a dog to a shelter just because things get a little hard or really for any reason other than death of owner(I feel there has to be another option..a friend or family member or ad ..something..you have to try) then that person should be put on a list or fined or something …they should NEVER have the option to own another animal for the rest of their lives…there is always a way to make it work if you really want to…our pets love us more than they love themselves the very least we can do is make sure that when decide to take one into our lives that we take care of it for the long haul..
