Broken Hearted Dog Was Brought to a Shelter and Finds Out He’s Being Given Up

Animals do have a unique perception. They are fully aware whenever things aren’t okay. This dog, named “Toto,” found out that he was being given up when he stepped inside the busy Carson Animal Control office, in California, one Friday. In the video, you’ll see the instant Toto, a three-year-old Chihuahua, was given up along with a bit of his food.

Toto can be seen leaping up on his owner’s leg and trying to break free. The look on Toto’s face reveals it all. The main reason Toto was surrendered was because he was being too noisy. Which is, basically, a cheap excuse. There are many ways to handle this situation. You could always train your dog and training is available everywhere…

The Carson Animal Control office was frantic. They were almost full, and Toto had to find a foster home as soon as possible because a dog that is given up by their owner may be put down for any excuse.

Have a look at this video

Toto didn’t find a foster home. Thankfully, however, he got adopted instead! This adorable dog won’t have to worry about being given up again.

Don’t forget to share Toto’s story to all of your friends and family!

  1. What a scumbag , hope he’s on social media so he will know how much people loath dirtbags like this! Pathetic excuse for a pet owner, hopefully no other dog will have to this scumbag as his owner!!!! Your pathetic buddy!

  2. Soo….you would prefer he abandon the dog an not give the chance to find a home that actually loves it? Where I grew up a lot of people left their “unwanted pets” at the park and drove away. There’s a difference hon

  3. Sad to say this but it is probably the best thing that could happen to him. An owner who could give up on such a loyal companion doesn’t deserve its loyalty. Heartlessness is rewarded by Karma. Hopefully, this gives this companion a chance to give itself to a deserving family.

  4. None of this sounds true, and I hope it’s not. Chasing an animal into a corner is abuse. The behaviour you described sounds like claiming, followed by FEAR. Perhaps taking your pet to a proper trainer would help. Instead you toss him out the door? Smh terrible.

  5. I stood in the garage in 109 degree heat to bathe my boys who were hot and itchy and wanted to play in the water! They were having a blast as sweat poured off me! Who turns in a terrified dog who is begging not to be left there! The dog will hopefully have a better home…. probably was miserable with the$#%&!@*he lived with !

  6. STop making excuses for people who can discard a life with such ease… did you read the storie? the dog was dumped because he was noisey… the man wasnt depressed or looking on hard times or any other ridiculous excuse for dumping a dog…. when you take a pet it is a lifetime commitment for the pet…. I have heard every pathetic excuse known to mankind for dumping pets….as I have been in the pet industry for over fifty years…. If you are not willing to make a lifetime commitment to the animal…. DO NOT GET ONE ….. they are not to be discarded at the drop of a hat.!!!!!

  7. “the man wasn’t depressed or looking on hard times or any other ridiculous excuse for dumping a dog” … I never said anything about either of these. Whatever his stupid reason is is irrelevant. He chose to give the dog up so that someone that will actually love it will come around.
