Broken Hearted Dog Was Brought to a Shelter and Finds Out He’s Being Given Up

Animals do have a unique perception. They are fully aware whenever things aren’t okay. This dog, named “Toto,” found out that he was being given up when he stepped inside the busy Carson Animal Control office, in California, one Friday. In the video, you’ll see the instant Toto, a three-year-old Chihuahua, was given up along with a bit of his food.

Toto can be seen leaping up on his owner’s leg and trying to break free. The look on Toto’s face reveals it all. The main reason Toto was surrendered was because he was being too noisy. Which is, basically, a cheap excuse. There are many ways to handle this situation. You could always train your dog and training is available everywhere…

The Carson Animal Control office was frantic. They were almost full, and Toto had to find a foster home as soon as possible because a dog that is given up by their owner may be put down for any excuse.

Have a look at this video

Toto didn’t find a foster home. Thankfully, however, he got adopted instead! This adorable dog won’t have to worry about being given up again.

Don’t forget to share Toto’s story to all of your friends and family!

  1. Margaret Wibberg,Barbara Cundiff,Irene Guest,
I’m a dog lover and i help out at a dog rescue centre, and i hear very sad stories all the time, very often things change in people’s lives people splitting up some one does and so on, and even depression can all play a part in giving up a pet you love ,even lack of money, and it’s better to give the dog a new home than make it suffer, so i understand your feelings but think before you say such cruel things about people, as it can be very heart breaking to rehome your loved pet, and the pet should come first

  2. Good grief the comments on this are filthy! We don’t know why the owner had to surrender the dog. Perhaps something happened where he could no longer care for the dog properly. If that’s the case, then he’s doing the right thing.

I’m very disturbed at the state of humanity these days…

  3. Nothing but love in the eyes of the little dog. Iwould take him instantly. Next will come depression and not understanding. These little ones form true love tiee and are hard to retrain rehome. Ive been doing that rescur for 20 years. They are the most.euthanize species of dogs because of special bonding with owner.

  4. I hope his previous owners suffers everyday all day for the rest of his life!!! Lowlife & I hope who he cares about the most, abandons him in the gutter where he deserves to live…, I can’t take people anymore they disgust me!!!!

  5. Something else to think about! I have had a dog in my life for as long as i can remember! I remember back when i was 4 years old, i am 52 years old! Every dog that i have owned was loved and spoiled!! Even though they were spoiled no dog i ever owned was ever in the house and guess what, they were happy and they new they were loved! My last dog i had passed away 2 years ago. My husband and i are finally ready for another fur child. We want to adopt rather than buy from a breeder. But even though we are animal lovers, live on 2 acres, love all animals to the point of feeding and caring for feral cats! We can’t find a rescue that will adopt to us, even though we will give another dog a fantastic home! I think its wrong to be that way!

  6. Just one ore reason to add to my long, long list of reasons dogs are better than people. This person will get what is coming to him, but we would all love to be there to see it. I pray this helpless dog and all others in his same sutuation get a wonderful and permanent home with people who truly love them.

  7. Awe I’m sorry. It’s so hard when they get old. I cried more over Sarah than I did for any human!
I know you have made and will continue to make the rest of Holly’s days a dogs dream ❤️

  8. People can’t and won’t take responsibility for their pet…y are not worthy of owning a pet again! Would you give up your family member like you gave up this precious dog?? You suck!!
