Broken Hearted Dog Was Brought to a Shelter and Finds Out He’s Being Given Up

Animals do have a unique perception. They are fully aware whenever things aren’t okay. This dog, named “Toto,” found out that he was being given up when he stepped inside the busy Carson Animal Control office, in California, one Friday. In the video, you’ll see the instant Toto, a three-year-old Chihuahua, was given up along with a bit of his food.

Toto can be seen leaping up on his owner’s leg and trying to break free. The look on Toto’s face reveals it all. The main reason Toto was surrendered was because he was being too noisy. Which is, basically, a cheap excuse. There are many ways to handle this situation. You could always train your dog and training is available everywhere…

The Carson Animal Control office was frantic. They were almost full, and Toto had to find a foster home as soon as possible because a dog that is given up by their owner may be put down for any excuse.

Toto didn’t find a foster home. Thankfully, however, he got adopted instead! This adorable dog won’t have to worry about being given up again.

Don’t forget to share Toto’s story to all of your friends and family!

  1. That dogs heart has just been shattered into a billion pieces because of that heartless owner. That’s like taking your 5 year old kid, dumping them at the curb in a place they don’t know, and you drive away while they chase after you on foot sobbing as you drive away, leaving them behind forever.

  2. This is the same if you left a child in a shelter. I hope your guilt will eat at you every day that you abandon your dog who did nothing wrong at a shelter. They have a soul and heart as well, but you are a fail human. I pray Toto finds a loving family. I couldn’t even open up and read the whole article, it just gets to me.

  3. why even bother getting a dog or a pet if all ur gonna do is give it up and the dog goes to the place where he knows he aint gonna last in that long where he knows hes smart enough to understand that he he doesn’t belong there but he can’t speak he can only bark or try to get ur attention would anybody like to be treated like a piece of trash throw u away either a high kill shelter or whatever or for adaption dogs who aren’t wanted by humans

  4. no pet should be treated that way, if you didn’t want a dog then why did you get one if you were going to return it to the shelter and break him or her heat that’s not even beeing a human in ny book shame on you

  5. That’s sad. Glad that he was adopted. Shame on the previous owner that thought it was an easy way-out. Hope he never gets another pet if he can’t take the responsibility.
