Trimming nails on your Pug is not always a fun job. Some pugs are reluctant, even terrified of getting their nails trimmed.
Some even starts screaming, yelping, and moving around constantly. You fight tooth and nails (no pun intended) to get their nails cut… the ultimate challenge of grit and persistence.
Have you ever experienced the pleasure of trimming a pug's (or any reluctant dog's / animal's) nails?
Well, this 2nd year veterinary student, Roberta who's studying at the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University sure can relate!
Check out her hysterical synopsis of trimming a pug's nails on the next page:

This is exactly what my pug Skyler does. .you would honestly think I’m killing him .. he is the sweetest dog on earth until you pull out the nail clippers. After we get them cut he has to bite the nail clippers. Lol too funny …when you’re done you feel like you’ve had a major workout

Glad to know this..I thought our Goliath was just acting out. You’d think he was being killed….slowly…Don’t help that he’s strong as an ox and it takes at least 2 people to do the job.

We used to attempt grinding our 3 pugs nails. The $15+tip top three local groomer for performing the task was the best money I ever spent.

Come on people, the vet explained some had issues, some didnt, of my 7 + pugs all but 1 sat quietly, the one brought up no differently, but very much a mummies babe screams, rants, struggles, ahhh but shove food in her gob and not a peep!!!!! so no no pain there eccepts maybe hating being held down for her own good to clip back nails that curl inward BADLY

awwwwwwwww poor thing such a traumatic experience!!! my boy pug hated getting his toenails done, his tongue would turn blue-scared me to death, but my girl pug was good-she just sat there and let me do it-people fail to realize that if u handle their feet and play with their toes from puppy up they get used to having their feet messed with and toenail trimming becomes a less traumatic thing for them!!! bless their little hearts!
