Trimming nails on your Pug is not always a fun job. Some pugs are reluctant, even terrified of getting their nails trimmed.
Some even starts screaming, yelping, and moving around constantly. You fight tooth and nails (no pun intended) to get their nails cut… the ultimate challenge of grit and persistence.
Have you ever experienced the pleasure of trimming a pug's (or any reluctant dog's / animal's) nails?
Well, this 2nd year veterinary student, Roberta who's studying at the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University sure can relate!
Check out her hysterical synopsis of trimming a pug's nails on the next page:

So very true!!! All my pugs hate it but especially my puggie Max. He literally blew one of his eyes once while they were trimming his nails. Had to knock him out to fix it. I can just pick up the clippers and he starts growling..

Back when my pug was alive walking did nothing to file down his nails, had to use Pedipaws to help with that and while at times he struggled it was usually because he was tired of being in the same position for so long which was understandable but for the most part he was fine with it and while he loved to walk he usually got pretty tired rather quickly so I’m sure no filing occurred during those walks.

He isn’t terrified? So he must be making those noises cos he super excited and loving the fact he’s being man handled by two incompetent members of staff then?? That must be it eh?
Wake up will you!! Pugs will sit for anything without a sound – but as the video says as soon as the clippers comes out the Pug goes mental because he knows what’s coming not to mention the way he is being restrained so forcefully!!
As for Pugs getting tired when walking, everything gets tired when walking.. But you need to encourage and train them to be able to walk more than around past your neighbours house and back home – that’s not healthy
