YouTube vlogger Trevor Costelloe and his friend Dave were making another video for Trevor’s YouTube channel. This time the two were exploring an abandoned waterpark in San Diego.
They had no idea that their day was going to end with saving the life of a dog.
“What we thought would be a fun little explore turned into an unforgettable moment that we still can’t believe happened,” Trevor said in his video.

They used a drone to survey the area’s slides and pools that were still intact. Since it had recently rained, some of the pools were filled with water.
After walking the grounds a bit they saw a large white dog.
The boys were slightly intimidated by this dog. They weren’t sure what kind of dog it was, where it came from, or whether or not it was friendly.

They then spotted a second dog lurking around the same spot as the white dog. The dogs seemed to be acting kind of strangely. This freaked the boys out a bit.
They didn’t want to get bit by a stray dog.
They became even more freaked out when the white dog came running over to him. But they soon realized that the dog was friendly. He gently approached the boys and licked their hands.

The second dog soon followed suit.
“This is sketchy,” said Trevor.
He knew something was going on with these dogs. They seemed kind of anxious and uneasy, but the boys didn’t know why. The dogs then started nudging at the boys.

It seemed like they were trying to get the boys to follow them. But before the boys did, they heard a noise coming from one of the pools
“What’s in the water over there?” Trevor said.
The teens followed the noise and the dogs to see a third dog desperately trying to stay afloat in the pool.
“Oh, there’s a dog in there,” Trevor says panicked. “Bro, we gotta save the dog.”

The poor pup was struggling and couldn’t get out. It would only be a matter of time before he got too tired to hold on anymore. So, the teens had to act quickly.
Trevor rushed over to the dog and tried to pull him out but he had trouble gaining enough leverage to pull the dog out.
He struggled a bit but finally was able to pull the dog to safety. The dog immediately ran over to his friends. The other dogs looked relieved to see that their buddy was OK. The circled him and gave him some kisses.

“Awwwwwwww, the babies,” Dave said. “They’re like, “Are you OK?
The teens paused and took in what had actually occurred. They were happy that they were in the right place at the right time.
“Dude, what if we weren’t here?” said Trevor’s friend.
The agreed that the dog would have likely drowned. While their outing didn’t go exactly as they planned, they ended up doing a great deed instead.
“I’m so happy actually,” said Trevor. “If we didn’t come here to film today, like come explore this place, that dog, honestly, would have drowned. It barely had any strength left. It was barely sticking above water.”
