Guided into the small metal cab of a big white truck by seven volunteers, Sook-Jai was fastened to her spot and the truck slowly took off transporting her to her freedom. Sook-Jai is a seventy-three-year-old elephant, and since she was young, she was used to trek tourists that were visiting the area. Beaten down through the years of hard labor, Sook-Jai was old and weak. Thanks to the Save Elephant Foundation, Sook-Jai was saved and moved to an elephant sanctuary where she could live freely.
Elephants are not only incredibly smart animals, but they are also quite expressive when it comes to their emotions. When the Save Elephant Foundation came around and rushed her into the truck, they could tell that she was visibly shaken and upset. During the ride over to the elephant sanctuary, the volunteers even noted how Sook-Jai was crying heavily. With tears pouring down her face, Sook-Jai would be in for a surprise when she arrived at her new home.
The riders aboard the truck gave Sook-Jai company as they made their trip to the elephant sanctuary, and tried to comfort her when they noticed her crying. Unaware of what was to come, Sook-Jai was heading to a place where she could be free and happy without being burdened by the labors of trekking tourists all day while her owners profited from her pain.
Covered in injuries from her past, Sook-Jai slowly backed off the truck when they arrive at the sanctuary. Sook-Jai immediately made her way to the water before making her way to the mud pit and covering her whole body in mud.
The seventy-three-year-old elephant has lived a hard life, but thanks to the Save Elephant Foundation, she can finally live freely and enjoy the rest of her life without the burden of being a toy for visiting tourists.

Sook-Hai can finally love rest of her life in and hopefully pain. Yhis poor old sweetie was crying real years. It looked as if she might have cataracts over her eyes. Surely a vet could check for that and maybe she could see. She will soon learn to get around and hopefully make an elephant friend.
