Have you ever experienced a moment of shock and disbelief when the sandwich you just made disappears from the kitchen counter the moment you turn your back?
Then you look down just in time to see your dog happily licking the last bit of mayo off the top of his nose. Guilty dog!
If you are a dog owner, you've most probably experienced or witnessed your dog stealing food from kitchen counters or even the dinner table.
There's even a new term that has been coined to describe this behavior: counter-surfing. Counter-surfing is a dog trainer's term to describe a dog stealing food off counters and tables.
Some dogs are extremely skilled at counter-surfing and only do it when their owners aren't looking, while others will grab the food even with their owners watching!
