    Dogs like that need constant therapy, some dogs are scared of loud sounds , there are specialized trainers who can correct the fears. My ex had a black lab /pit bull mix , female that was very intelligent, playful, and attention craver but as soon as she heard thunder off in the distance or any loud noise in general she would flee and cower on the bed or on your lap , shaking badly . My ex never sought treatment for the dog . You couldn’t even use a fly swatter in the house because the dog would become terrified

    Lucky for our dog he gets loads of love and attention from our kids as well as us. Our thoughts are that at least hes happy and if we hadnt had him he would probably have been put down by now. The place he came from was a bit iffy but we were so focused on the puppies we didnt realise. I think we have to live with the fact that we have a indoor dog..lol. he makes one hell of a good gard dog as he hates other people/dogs its such a shame he just wont go out into the world.
