    I have small children. Adopting a chi from a shelter usually won’t work for us. Often shelter dogs are not good with kids. I need puppies I can raise with my girls. So at this point I prefer rescuing them from pet stores vs. buying from breeders. But in the future when my girls are bigger I will adopt from a shelter.
