Scooby, a Cocker Spaniel mix, was turned in to the shelter when his owner died. As a senior dog, he was overlooked until Hollywood Rescue Grooming stepped in and donated their time and clippers to give Scooby a new look.
Since filming, Scooby is now in a program that helps fellow prison inmates. Every dog deserves a second look, a second chance and a second home! Please share Scooby’s story to inspire everyone to adopt a senior dog!

Awww! They look like our Snapple’s long lost brothers. We got him from a rescue so not positive if he’s pure breed or not. He’s been the best dog for our kids.

I’ve rescued quite a few pups from the Humane Society. I lived in Florida. Unfortunately there are a lot of senior citizens who end up having to go into assisted care facilities which don’t allow their animals. I’ve always adopted Senior Dogs and they’re wonderful.

He’s such a handsome boy. I worry about what would happen to my dogs if something happened to me. I’ve talked to my family and either my parents or my sister and her husband would take them, but it makes me wonder about people who don’t have family or friends who would care for their animals if they died. It’s awful, because that dog or cat could go from a life where they were loved and well cared for, to being stuck in a shelter or abandoned. There should be help for pets in those situations, or at least assistance to people to help them place their pets if they have no one with whom they can leave them.

That is my biggest concern with my almost 3yr old cocker. I am 74 and don’t have hardly any family and I am sure they would not want him to start with. No one else will treat him as I do and it is hard to think he will end up in a shelter I do have in my will where he is to go and I hope he will adjust.

That so wonderful. But just FYI. that cocker has what is called. “No groom back coat”. Which mean it should not be sheared down as he did it. It should only be scissor trimmed to finish. He’ll look much more like a cocker that way.
