A rescue group, named ARK Chiangmai, received a frantic call about a dog spotted with an injured snout. The caller mentioned that the poor pup kept trying to bury his head in the dirt.
When rescuers arrived on the scene, what they saw broke their hearts. A rubber band was tied around his snout causing significant pain.
The dog tried all he could to get the rubber band off by himself but of course, it was of no use. He was unable to eat or drink the entire time.
The pup didn’t have long to live like this. Thankfully, he was found in time and taken in by ARK.

The rescuers rushed the dog to their vet clinic. The veterinarian sedated him immediately. He administered pain meds and fluids through an IV and then cut the rubber band off his snout.
It has caused a painful wound that needed to be bandaged. He would also need antibiotics to prevent infection.

The dog was such a trooper! Sadly, however, the rubber band cut off blood supply to sections of the dog’s mouth. He would need multiple surgeries.
The rescue group rallied together to raise the funds for the surgeries. It will be a long road to recovery for the brave pup but we are so happy that he’s safe and in loving hands.
