Roxy the German Shepherd’s story was a sad one. She was found neglected after her owner decided to move away and leave her behind to fend for herself.
She had nowhere to go and nowhere to hide and ended up getting cancer from constant sun exposure. The dog’s poor ears looked rough.

But it was Sidewalk Specials who came along and took her in, and thanks to everyone’s support and donations, Roxy was set up for treatment and recovery.
Once she got into a much better place both mentally and physically, she went on to a foster home!

But it was there that all of her friends were adopted away leaving her alone in life once again.
Then it finally happened for Roxy; she was adopted into a loving home with the perfect family, and it even came with a new best friend!
