Someone Left This Rottweiler On A Rooftop To Die – But When Someone Else Finally Notices Him…

Dogs are known for getting themselves into all sorts of strange situations. Who hasn’t walked in on their pup in the pantry, covered in flour, and wondered, “How did you get in there?!”

When firefighters spotted one Rottweiler in Youngstown, Ohio, however, they didn’t have time to wonder about her odd location—on top of a roof—where she’d supposedly been stuck for nearly three whole days. Once the firefighters were able to get to her, though, they realized the truth of the situation.

A frightened Rottweiler had been stuck on a rooftop for nearly three days before firefighters were contacted to rescue her.

As the firefighters worked to get the dog out of the dangerous spot—a process that took about an hour—her owner actually showed up with quite the story.

The owner claimed he’d been at a friend’s house for a week and had left the dog, which is neglectful in its own right. He said he didn’t know how his dog got onto the roof.

The Rottweiler was understandably shaken from her experience, and was already some 30 pounds underweight. The firefighters took the opportunity to feed her some french fries as a reward for her bravery.

Thankfully, one of the firefighters, Kyle Trimble, convinced the owner to sign the dog over to him. At last, the rescue was truly complete!

“With this situation, it just kind of seems right, and she has herself a good home and she is a good fit for me,” Kyle said of the pup. “She is an amazing dog. She is really good around other people and other dogs. She is just a real lovable type of dog.”

We’d agree! Glad she has a proper home, finally!

  1. If found the coward dirty SOB who did this should be beaten to death. If the SOB does not die put a bullet between the SOB’S eyes. The law does nothing to protect animals who have been abused, harmed or abandoned. Maybe the time has come for people to take the law into their own hands and take care of these SOB’S who abusers, harm or abandon animals. Karma

  3. These people need to be educated or put in jail for the abuse they inflict on animals they should never be allowed to own animal it makes my blood boil to see this, there is no call for it to many shelters that would take the puppy of their hands rather than this happen to the animal.

  4. I love how the dog was saved and got a loving home but this story made me wonder about the whole story.did the owners leave dog to fend for itself? I cant figure out how a dog could even get on a roof , a ladder left or a teenage prank.i will never know.happy beginning for the dog.

  5. If i were 1 of the fireman and he came and told me that$#%&!@*story i would have beaten him to death on the spot….probably would have done that anyway as its the only way to get through to scum like him
