Lupine, nicknamed Lu, was surrendered to the shelter for getting too big. Well, in my opinion, when it comes to dogs, the bigger the better! And the more to love, right?
Lu is so lovable and sweet that she now serves as an ambassador for the shelter. And all the volunteers adore her!
Like TOO many dogs, Lu was given up on. A puppy isn’t a play thing. They’re for life!
It is always smart to research a breed first and if it’s a mixed breed, do your best to assess things with the volunteers. Shelter workers may know the parents or some background of the dog and if they don’t, they can still be helpful.
Just look at Lu! She’s absolutely PERFECT! No matter her size! What were those humans thinking?!
The volunteers wanted to get her something nice for all her hard work so they got her a pink blanket. Watch what she does with it. She really is uber sweet!

So sad people do that. I’d never do that to my big girl. She’s a year old and is 85 pounds. I love her more then anything. People just suck sometimes. Glad she has a better home now!

THINK people before you get a pet. They take love, patience, dedication and money. If you don’t have those, just don’t get one, period. There are too many who get a kitten or a puppy because they’re “cute” and then when the pet becomes an adult they are no longer wanted and given away, abandoned or sent to a shelter. Animals take a lifetime commitment. As a note, support your local no-kill shelters and animal rescue groups. They do a remarkable job.

If you’re going to get a dog. Research the breed you want! Not all breeds are for everyone! I am not a small dog person, I LOVE large dogs and always have. I did have beagles growing up, and that is the smallest dog I have owned. So do research people!

I hope the people that dumped her NEVER get another animal again – not fair to that animal! Animals give us unconditional love and loyalty and then there are people like those that got her as a puppy and dumped her without looking back!! What goes around, comes around…To the people that dumped this sweet baby: Wait till you get old and someone dumps you cause you cannot do what you did before – same thing people!

you said her humans, there not human, they are cold hearted, vile sub humans, they should never be allowed to own another dog, you know when you adopt, foster or buy a dog how big it will be, no excuse she is better off with someone who will love and cherish her

People shouldn’t be shamed for admitting they cannot care for a dog anymore and giving it to someone else who can care for it, at least they admitted to themselves they could no longer give the dog a life it deserves due to size and gave it to someone capable of caring for it
