Although understanding why dogs howl is still largely a mystery, some believe they do this partly because of their relative, the wolf.

Wolves howl to tell rival wolf packs they're walking into forbidden territory or to let a lost member of the pack know where they are, according to Live Science.

But why do the puppies in this video howl?

Probably just to be cute.

    I done the same thing with my two Schnauzers Cricket & PepperAnn when they were puppy’s..haha Now that they are older and go outside, they get the neighborhood dogs going too. Boy do they also howl when we are leaving the house…breaks your heart..hahaha..:-) dogs are good for the heart! ♡
