Pug Takes His First Steps On His Prosthetic Leg! This Will Melt Your Heart!

We always love stories of our beloved dogs overcoming life's big obstacles. They just inspire us and pulls at our hearts.

Well, here's another story from Australia that we've fallen in love with!

Ed the pug was born with a birth defect that left him without a hind leg.

The awesome peeps from Pug Rescue and Adoption Center in Victoria never gave up on him and took care of him until they were able to get a prosthetic for him!

Watch the 12-month-old pug, Ed's first steps on his prosthetic leg on the next page!

  1. For some people it’s not a problem to spend how ever much money or time it takes to make sure what they love is cared for. That was kind of the point of the article, to be inspirational about a tough situation. Other owners may not have the same resources (time, money, patience, etc). Suzanne was just trying to be encouraging, something that might be so rare in today’s world that you mistook it for a judgement. I wish you the best of luck with your own tough situation, Carolyn Greiner.

  2. We put our dog to sleep out of respect for the dog. Sometimes making a hard choice is the most selfless one. Remember they are animals. The spirit of our dog died when she lost the feelings in her legs. It was inhumane to let her suffer any longer.

  3. You did what you thought was right for you and your precious dog. Good on you, it couldn’t have been an easy decision for you. I am not being critical in any way of your decision – mine would just have been different xx
