Pug Is Being Called A Hero For Saving Family In House Fire

A pug named Jersey is being called a hero because she woke her owners up just in time to save them from a house fire.

When Kim and Tom Zaker decided to sleep in the cool basement last September to escape the heat of the day, they had no clue what was about to happen to their family that night.

A fire tore through the main part of the house above and would have trapped and killed the couple, if not for the brave actions of their little pug, Jersey.

“In my mind Jersey is my hero,” said Tom.

    I would NEVER EVER leave my burning home without my pets. I know both me and my husband would push each other out of the way in order to grab them before running out. Disgraceful.

    Most of the time, she won’t let strangers near me, on my 3rd heart attack(massive), she allowed ambulance personel come to me, the whole time she was licking me all over my face &cried when they wheeled me away. Then 3 weeks ago, I had a light stroke while walking her, I kept drifting into the lane of traffic & sh’d jerk me back. She’s truly a hero & my BFF
