Anyone who considers a dog a beloved friend, companion, or family member knows the intense pain that accompanies the loss of that friend. Coping with that grief is oftentimes very challenging to say the least.
Intense grief over the loss of a pet is normal and natural… there's nothing silly, crazy, or overly sentimental to grieve!
The question is, how can we all cope with the inevitable event of losing your companion who's been a source of comfort, unconditional love and acceptance, and fun and joy?
Here's how Shelley helped her husband's grief over losing their pug of 11 years… she surprised him with an adorable pug puppy!! It's such an adorable moment!

Our “Hannah” did this same thing to my husband when we brought her home over 14 years ago! She was less than 6 weeks old and she just melted his heart. From that day …..she was Poppa’s Girl! We lost her in 2013. It almost broke his heart.

Pugs are awesome. I have my 5th one now. I’ve lost two at a young age, and I’ve had two live to be almost 15 years old. Such a joy and such heartbreak when you have to let them go!

Sooo happy for him! I’ve always had GSDs but since I had a brain aneurysm rupture a year ago I couldn’t work anymore of course. My son has a Pug and I have fallen so in love with her. Now where I’m living I can have a small dog…so now I want a Pug! Expensive, but my day will come to hug and hold one, I hope!
