In a crowded field of candidates, one brave one-eye dog has entered the 2016 presidential campaign as a way to raise money for a Mt. Juliet animal rescue.
In the one-eye pup’s parody campaign ad on Facebook, Mildred is touted as a “Pug you can trust” and someone who will “work like a dog for American jobs” and is “determined to lick rising healthcare costs.”
Old Friends Senior Dog Sanctuary launched Mildred’s campaign as a way to give social media users a break from election coverage and to help raise money for the organization.
