Police Officer Makes Woman Sit In Hot Car After She Left Her Dog In The Car

Police were called when this lady left her dog in a hot car while she went into Walmart.

When she came back out to her car, a cop was waiting and made her sit in the hot car to see how her dog felt!

HuffingtonPost.com reports that this happened after the officer responded to the call about the dog being left in the car in Ohio:

“To prove a point, the officer made the woman sit inside of the warm car with the windows up and without the engine on for a few minutes.

The woman said she was fine but the officer noted she looked uncomfortable. The woman was advised if she did this again she would be cited.”

The article notes that this isn’t the first time that an officer has done this. They say that last year another officer did the same thing to a woman who left her dog in a hot car in New Mexico.

That woman said that what the officer did was “abusive”. It was all caught on camera too.

    Louis Orellana you are wrong and also an example of the problems with society. It is against the LAW to leave an animal closed up in a hot car. Why the hell would you do that anyway? Heartless maybe? She got a taste of her own medicine

    Smug cow. He did the right thing. Good on the officer. I think she’s not all there if she’s filing a complaint against the officer when she was stupid enough to leave her dog in the car in that heat. Idiot.

    I hope her tocket cost her a thousand dollars! The adults should have had to sit in the car, but not the kid! The only way this woman will learn is to hit her in the pocket book! The officer should have neen able to take the pet away, just like a kid, and the parents have to prove they are ok to get pet back!

    I hate people who mistreat animals, because the are animals to and they know what they are doing, to me they are just like children, especially if you don’t have any kudo’s to the cop’s.

    What do you all think about cops leaving their dog partners in cars? One forgot it’s partner for days, didn’t remember till the stench hit it. Other cops didn’t even ask I guess….
    No charges at all brought against the cop.

    Timothy Properly this is the only way to show people that its not done a dog in closed hot car, so you say by law officier cannot do it but she can by law just leave her dog in the car, what the hell are you talking . We get so many warnings dont leave you dog in hot car !!!AND STIL People are doing it!!!!!

    I think anyone who wants to adopt a dog should as part of the application and screening process be required to sit in a parked car that’s turned off, on a hot day for 10min. I would think it would be a memorable experience.
