A shelter visitor recorded this video to show how gentle Pit Bulls can be… even those who come from a violent past.

This Pit Bull in the video to follow was rescued from a dog fighting operation and was being visited at the shelter by a woman, who wanted to see how he will respond to her attention.

The woman can be heard talking gently to the Pit Bull, coaxing him closer to her. This poor Pit Bull has been through a lot. The fear and distrust of humans is clear in his eyes and demeanor.

The pup is shy and hesitant, but obviously longing for some love. This is probably one of the first human beings he’s ever encountered that didn’t want to do bad things to him.

She speaks gently to him which prompts the dog to moan in response. And when she extends her hand through the bars? His reaction is not to be missed…

    This is heart breaking to watch this poor dog, scared and in fear because of cruel humans forcing him to fight when he should of been shown love and compassion. Made me cry when I saw him hesitantly inch towards the lady just wanting love and he’s just the cutest, sweetest dog. Amazing how sweet these dogs can be towards humans, after humans show them nothing but abuse and hate. I hope this baby got the loving, forever home he so desperately deserves. Bless his poor heart.

    I hope they caught the person or persons who used this animal to fight I hope they’re put in jail for the rest of their lives this is just beyond awful I’m glad someone save this precious dog and gave it

    Man these videos tear me up how can folks hurt these poor babies.Even after what we all know was a horror of a life he still offers love trust and heart and even greater still he accepts love.Don’t know any humans like that.Blessed are those that look after the little ones the lost the mistreated.And to hell with those that would harm them.
