Man Finds Three Dogs Trapped Inside Burning Car, Risks Life To Save Them Before Explosion

Sometimes life just puts you at the right place at the right time. When one bystander happened to come across some dogs in severe danger, he rushed into action to rescue them.

The story happened in 2017, in Dedham, Massachusetts. A man named Peter Koska was heading to his car when he spotted an SUV on fire.

Even worse, he realized that three dogs were trapped inside.

There was no time to lose… and Koska jumped into action.

“I figured, I have time to get in there and get them out,” he told CBS Boston.

Luckily, the door was unlocked. He braved the danger and freed the dogs. While two jumped right out, another was scared still.

“The third, a labradoodle, didn’t want to come out,” he said. “So I reached in [and] grabbed them.”

He got all the dogs out. A moment later, he heard a boom and the car was engulfed in flames.

It turns out, the dog was owned by a dog walker. She had left the three in the car while going in to pick up another dog.

Koska certainly saved these dogs’ lives, and says the decision was a no-brainer.

“My son has a dog. We love it like family. I figured those dogs have to be family to somebody,” he told CBS Boston. “Very fortunate we got them out safely. Could have been disastrous.”
