A New Zealand man recently posted a video of his local mailman playing with his dog which went viral.
The friendship caught on camera between the neighborhood mailman and the dog has blown up and has been viewed over 5.6 million times on social media.
The owner of a 9-month-old canine says the mailman stops by everyday, even on days where he gets no mails.

Collin says the mailman always gets off his bike and spends about a minute or two petting and exchanging licks with the dog.
In the image below, you can see the dog’s anticipating reaction as the mailman gets off his bike.

In the image above, we can see dogs excitement, tail wagging, tapping the wooden fence as he sees the mailman approaching.
The owner of the dog, Michael Collins, wrote in a Facebook comment, “He always gets over looked as a dangerous or unapproachable dog — maybe ‘cause he’s big, I am not sure.”
The owner also says that the two are very friendly, the mailman even allows the little fella to lick his face. We can see the canine greeting his human friend with licks in the image below.
There is no wonder why dogs are a mans best friend.

Collins told Facebook commenters that the little canine hardly ever barks at strangers and is very glad that the mailman “makes an effort to get off his bike to give him a hug and a pat.”
He also stated that some mailmen would unintentionally smack dogs in the nose when the dogs approached and wanted to give his mailman some credit.
Collins also posted on Facebook saying, “thanks man keep up the good job and you’ve definitely got a friend waiting for ya!!”
Some of the comments Facebook users left behind told Collins that the friendship was cool.

Collins said that since the video has blown up on Facebook, he hopes his mailman sees it as a sign of his gratitude.
The owner of the dog after being persuaded by the internet stated that he will approach the mailman next time to give him a proper thank you.
