Man Throws Out Dog On One Of The Coldest Nights, Dog Clings On To An Old Towel

Lincoln the 3-year-old Pit Bull lived a life of constant fear, abuse and neglect. Apart from being emaciated, he had mange and sores all over his body from sitting in his own urine and feces in a crate for a prolonged period.

When his bones wasted away and he lost his ability to walk, his owner discarded him in an empty parking lot in Branford, Connecticut.

Lincoln was terrified to find himself on the concrete on one of the coldest nights of the year. As the chill became unbearable, he found an old towel and clung on to it in hopes of finding warmth. By the time a jogger spotted him next morning, his body was aching with several frostbites.

Lincoln was rescued by the local cops and taken to the Dan Cosgrove Animal Shelter. While his health was in shreds, the workers helped him pull through within the next 30 hours with the help of crucial medicines. However, Lincoln was still unhappy to be around humans, possibly because of his bitter past experiences.
