On June 16, 2014, Susan Hickman found a Starling's egg laying on the ground. As she picked it up, a tiny baby bird began to emerge.
Although experienced bird rehabbers warned her that the baby bird probably would not survive, Susan could not just leave it there to die and decided to give it her best shot in raising it herself.
