When little Meredith and her siblings were found abandoned outside in the pouring rain, they were just 3 weeks old — cold, sick, and clinging to life. Thankfully, a rescue group called Foster the Furbabies stepped in just in time.
“They were all in rough shape,” said Gianna Cirucci, co-founder of the rescue. “They had upper respiratory infections, eye infections, parasites — the whole list. And Meredith, the runt, was the most fragile of them all.”
Despite her tiny size and tough start, Meredith proved to be a fighter. While her siblings bounced back fairly quickly, Meredith had a longer road to recovery, especially with lingering eye issues. After lots of vet visits and extra care, she was finally healthy and ready for adoption — although she might have a bit of vision loss long-term.
“She was one of the first cats we ever rescued,” Cirucci said. “She’ll always have a special place in our hearts.”
Before saying goodbye to their brave little survivor, Meredith’s rescuers decided to treat her to a little adventure — her first Starbucks run.
Knowing Meredith’s love for food (and we mean love), they ordered her a Puppuccino — that iconic, kitten-approved cup of whipped cream. And as expected, Meredith went absolutely wild for it.
“She went face-first into the cup like it was the best thing she’d ever seen,” Cirucci laughed. “We had to start filming because we were laughing so hard we were in tears — I was literally wheezing.”
Whipped cream ended up all over Meredith’s whiskers, nose, and face. Even the Starbucks barista couldn’t stop laughing, snapping pics of the tiny chaos monster in the drive-thru.
“She was obsessed,” Cirucci said. “When we tried to take the cup away, she kept pawing at it, trying to bring it back. She was not done!”
The video quickly became a hit online. While a few people worried about giving dairy to a kitten, the rescue made sure it was a safe, one-time treat. And considering most of the Puppuccino ended up on Meredith instead of in her, there was nothing to worry about.
Just a few days later, Meredith went off to her forever home — healthy, happy, and still just as food-obsessed.
“She’s doing so well,” Cirucci said. “She has cat siblings she adores, and she’s living her best life. We miss her, but we’ll always have that ridiculous, sweet video to remember her by.”
