Twitter user @Protect_Wldlife tweeted a nauseating video of a trophy hunter sneaking up on a lion who was sleeping on the ground before shooting him point blank.
The lion immediately woke up and began rolling around in pain, and even attempted to get up before falling back to the ground.

The smiling hunter turned to his friend who gave him a handshake, as the poor lion rolled around on the ground, dying in agony.
It’s unknown where this incident took place, but what we do know is that it’s just PLAIN CRUEL!
Twitter users from all over the world quickly responded to the video, sharing their anger toward the hunter.
According to National Geographic, the African Lion is listed as ‘vulnerable’ on the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species, meaning it is at high risk of extinction in the wild.
A study published in the journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, shows that lions are continuing to decline in western and central Africa, where there’s a 50 percent chance these populations will be cut in half in the next twenty years.
