Whale watching can sound brilliant on paper, but often times it’s an uneventful expedition. There are not nearly as many whales in the ocean as there are small fish. And even though you may be touring a populated area, there’s no guarantee they will surface while you’re there. That’s why this man’s footage of a whale’s breathtaking performance is a once in a lifetime find.
After hours of drifting with his crew near Pondoland, South Africa in a small inflatable boat, the most magnificent thing happened to this lucky photographer. He caught the rare, live and natural performance of a 40-ton humpback whale leaping through the ocean in a glorious and flawless performance.
This video shows quite the show from this majestic giant. I can only imagine what a splash this made in person!
