TikTok is a very popular social media platform but not everyone uses it for good reasons.
Sadly, a new trend has emerged on TikTok in which people put hot sauce on chicken and then feed it to their innocent dogs.
The dogs have no idea they are going to be eating something hot, and the reactions are not funny. The dogs are in distress, but the users generally laugh in the background.

In the videos, some of the dogs snarl at the food and others spit it out and won’t eat it. Thankfully, most of the videos have been removed, but not before they were seen by thousands of TikTok followers.
One TikTok creator said he is a vet technician and the trend is very dangerous to dogs. Eating hot sauce can cause pancreatitis, which can sometimes be deadly.
“As it travels to their stomach, it can cause further upset such as heartburn and even ulcerations,” Dr. Mary Altomare, the head veterinarian at the Mount Pleasant Animal Shelter in New Jersey, said. “Once it passes through the stomach, pets are likely to experience intestinal cramping and diarrhea. Depending on how sensitive of a stomach your pet has, you may also see some vomiting and subsequent dehydration.”
