Golden Retriever Instructs Puppy On How To Get Down The Stairs

Everyone needs a teacher to help us learn how to tackle life’s challenges! Japan the Golden Retriever took on that role or instructor when his neighbor’s puppy needed help on how to go down the stairs.

Japan’s teaching style isn’t so much showing as it’s telling, but he gives the little guy an encouraging pat on the back and the puppy makes it down safely! I’d say he’s a tough but good teacher 😉

  1. No lie, I had a Golden named Jake and a couple of years later, got a black lab. One day me and Jake were upstairs and the pup was at the bottom whining because he couldn’t manage stairs yet. So I said, “Jakie, go show the pup how to get up the stairs”. Without hesitation he went down, nudged the pup’s bum and up they both came! ❤️

  2. Knew a lady who told me that when she was a baby and accidentally left unattended at the top of the stairs, a golden retriever blocked her path and kept her from falling when she would have tried to crawl down the stairs. The dog went one step at a time in front of the little baby, protecting her. When the mother came down to the foot of the stairs and saw what the dog was doing, she was both grateful for the dog, and regretful for leaving her baby alone.
